I am originally a painter and have a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art and Design. I followed this with a private diploma course in Interior Design and then a PGCE in Secondary School Art and Design teaching. Following a brief career in wigs and makeup on various West End theatre productions, I worked for many years at the studios of Madame Tussauds, painting the wax figures, working with the hair, making eyeballs and helping to set up exhibitions around the world. I followed this by working for nine years as an Interior Designer for some prestigious London based companies.

Finally I trained in teaching at the Institute of Education and have been enjoying bringing Art to young students ever since. The portraits have been produced consistently alongside all of this. I have produced various commissions and have taken part in a number of exhibitions. One piece was exhibited in the National Portrait Gallery BP Portrait Awards 2005 and went on to the Scottish National Portrait Gallery. Three of my pieces have been exhibited in the NPG Mystery Portraits exhibitions.
